Laura Butler is an award-winning actress, singer, singer-songwriter, internationally touring musician, best-selling author, & filmmaker based in NYC. She is best known for her Oscar-qualifying film Family on Board, which screened at Cannes. Laura has been nominated for Best Actress at Innovative Theatre Awards for Text#Love-Love#Text, as well as Outstanding Supporting Actress at Midtown International Theatre Festival for Mr. Toole. She has also appeared in uncredited roles on Boardwalk Empire, Pan Am, The Following, and the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis. Laura graduated cum laude with a degree in theater and a minor in music and dance from The Ohio State University. She trained in London with Trestle Theatre, Theatre de Complicite, Actors from the London Stage, Royal Shakespeare Company, and The New Globe. In addition to New York, she has performed with The Human Race Theatre Company, The Cleveland Playhouse, The Wexner Center, and The Dorset Theatre Festival. She studies with acclaimed actress Laila Robins. Laura speaks 5 languages, teaches yoga & meditation, bakes, & has synesthesia (sees colors when she hears music). |
